Seattle Parks Board Hearing on New Code of Conduct

On January 28th, the Seattle Parks Board will hold a public hearing to address a new parks code of conduct. One piece of the new code is the implementation of a smoke-free parks policy.  The proposed new code of conduct and a briefing paper can be found at the parks board website.

The Parks Board is interested in hearing public opinion about a smoke-free policy for Seattle parks.  You can share your opinion by speaking at the public hearing on January 28th, or by sending written comments any time before February 10th.

The Parks Board has scheduled final discussion and making a recommendation for February 11.
