Fall Tree Festival

Saturday, October 16th, 2010 from 10:00am to 3:00pm

Wright Park, Tacoma

In addition to tree climbing kids can create leaf art projects and go on a scavenger hunt. All activities are free. The Festival is sponsored by Metro Parks Tacoma and the City of Tacoma. The kids’ tree climbing will be supervised by a certified arborist who will bring ropes, harnesses and helmets to help kids climb safely. Arborists from Metro Parks Tacoma and the City of Tacoma will also be on hand to answer tree care questions.

This treasured park in the heart of Tacoma has been recently refurbished thanks to the voter approved 2005 Park Improvement Bond. While the kids climb trees, adults can stroll new pathways, relax beside the restored pond, check out the new basketball court, horseshoe pits and lawn bowling greens or catch up on work with free wireless internet.

For information on the Fall Tree Festival, call 253-305-1022. All activities are free!
